August at New Life Church

August started with a bang here at New Life Church as we celebrated the opening of the new Zion Preschool and the 40th Anniversary of Immanuel School on the 10th of August. It was a wonderful day, with festivities including a special church service with the Bishop of South Australia, a tour of the new Zion Preschool facilities, a lunch catered by the school, and a concert by Peter Coombe. School and church families connected with one another, with the school families seeing how we run things on a Sunday and the church families seeing all of the work the school has done over the years. The day could not have happened without the hard work of many school and church staff and volunteers from both communities.

We also enjoyed a School Service on the 24th August, where the school band played, and a Ukes Service on the 31st August, where the New Life Ukes group had a chance to show their skills by leading worship with their ukeleles. We also celebrated the birth of a baby, making our church family a little bigger. On the 31st of August, we also heard the news that Pastor Anthony will be resigning his position at the end of November. While we will miss him, we are excited to see what this next season has in store for him and for New Life Church.

We are so excited to see what September has in store, as we prepare for Father's Day on the 7th September, our Baptism Celebration Service on the 14th September and our Drought Service on the 21st September.
