See what we got up to in May!
We had another great month here at New Life Church. We began a sermon series based on Rick Warren's '40 Days of Love', which has been both challenging and encouraging.
We found out about the total amount donated in the ALWS Myanmar Earthquake Appeal collected at our Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services. We raised $1636 between New Life Church and Immanuel Worship Centre, Gawler Lutheran Church's other main campus. ALWS was so grateful for the support, calling it an inspiration and a blessing!
Another way we were able to be involved in our community was the working bee held at the new Zion Preschool to lay grass. Immanuel School and Zion Preschool were so grateful for the help, and it was wonderful to be part of making a great new space for our little ones. We also had the privilege of hosting a Pancake Breakfast on the 27th May for the primary school students. What a great way to celebrate the middle of term and connect with our school community!
Our biggest event in May was the Annual General Meeting of Gawler Lutheran Church. All registered voting members were invited to come and hear about what Gawler Lutheran Church has done over the past year, as well as the presentation of our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. Many thanks to the number of people who made this meeting happen! If you are over the age of 16 and a confirmed and communing member of Gawler Lutheran Church, you can become a voting member by contacting the Church Office.
